Bound on this road...

This is probably one of the most beautiful times of the year, seasons are changing winter is slowly creeping upon us, oh and how we can look forward to the warmth of friends and family in the cosines of our houses, just chattering away and gossiping, re-bonding and strengthening old friendships, and cast way the gloom of winter.

"But we are bound on this round" i said to a great friend and mentor of mine one night while we were out on duty, prowling the streets for the sick and hurt.
but whjat is it that depicts this road of ours? What is it that brings forth the fruit of our work? Some will argue this and others that, some would argue it is a combination of certian factors. Baz Luhrmann stated that everything is just have chance. Others apply a principle of science to it, others emotion and emotional content. The law aplly's the combination of these factors.

We can decide ( thank heavens for that) for our self's how we judge other, which window and amount of knowledge we will use and apply to our tasks on hand. Yet we are bound on a road together that we don't understand, the intertwining and sometimes misleading calculations of life. Just as you are about to figure out that the equation to a certain fact, life throws you a curve ball and that happy place suddenly becomes a sad existence tears running down your cheek, hatred erupting and total loss of control. Then suddenly you find your self in front of a fork in the road. You use the science of deduction to build yourself a world and window from the knowledge you gathered over time and space, you annualized, contemplate every move and foreseeable  problem that accured or will acurr during your journey. You look back and see the pain, hatred and all of your past and with a sigh you choose the road less traveled. Blundering forth on emotion rather than calculation, or is it the other way around, i'm confused.

Yet we are bound on this road together to the end. We will only foresee but never understand.

Dream Big!
Today is for some just another day, one of going to work, finishing some unfinished business, getting that sale done for that big bonus. For others who keep the wheel's and gears of the economy going this is just a another day. Some would moan about their boss, other would talk nonstop about their children and others would dream and scheme.

You know these motivational speakers are actually robbing us of our way of dreaming. As I said before that humans have a tendency to conform to one idea or way of thinking, and if you don't fit the profile you’re not welcome. Well I love to dream big. Let me tell you something of myself witch will clarify the whole thing. 5 years ago I decided to quit my studies, and start working, and no I didn’t get the right job. After nearly 4 months of doing nothing and just sleeping and staying with my parents in law, my father gave me an option to come and work for him. My father isn’t the easiest man on earth, I think they are bred in a special corner and then set free to terrorise man kind. But any case so I came to the farm to make a short story even shorter. I'm know running the farm with the boss- I just let him sometimes think he is still the boss-. I made a choice success or nothing. Please I don't want anyone to feel motivated by this. If you can't motivate yourself nobody will.

To get to my point. As I said those who think differently are pushed aside, this forces them either to make a difference or to go and sit and cry in the corner. As I’m sitting here writing this and blogging it my head is constantly running a few thought with the basic questions how? Or How Not To? I like to gather information on various topics and then after some pondering and some more pondering and some good old thought I make my decision on the bases of information I gathered. Well this seem to be straight against what people think they should think.

Today when u encounters a thinking person, that is that man or lady sitting on the park bench and just staring go and sit with them. Just sit and keep still. Doesn’t speech just listen? The silence will bring you closer, listen to the traffic, listen to the people because once that person walks away he will say to you, “See You tomorrow." Please just leave your cellophane of. Don't disturb the movement. For in time you will learn that one thing that eluded you your whole life. Think clearly and don’t' let other tell you how to think.
I'm not the most favoured person because the way I think and talk- which is nonstop- are different that the world. My dream would be to see India go to Tibet and dive 5 places. Phuket, Great Barrier Reef, Zanzibar, Florida Keys and Nemo 33. Live big dream big.

Reality!
Some major thinkers through the ages have tried to solve the puzzle of the human mind and how people think. Some went on to describe thinking as a process, some called them self’s psychologists and quantified some thought process. But what have they derived from all their thinking and theorising.

We all have the urge to contemplate on some issue some other time, for the old scholars it was trying to solve the endless riddle of how people interact. Some derived their findings from the class system; some based their thoughts on mathematical quantification. For some like great inventors it was a way of expressing themselves, take Charles Darwin for instance he was widely opposed by the church and politicians of his time, yet his theories on the law of natural selection is practised by most Scientists today. And some of them strongly oppose Darwin today. But why are they then creating hybrid plants? Isn’t that then exactly what Darwin said? I'm not a Darwin fan but when must understand that interaction with other cultures, poeple the way they think and act has an influence on us as persons. Somehow the general thought created by human kind is that if something that is not understood that we should put it aside and not allow it into our lives.

Why am I stating this? I have had the most wonderful experience again. Somehow when people don't understand an individual’s way of thinking and acting, they tend to push them aside. Interesting enough that what these people sometime forget, was that the things they take for granted today was invented and thought of by these people who acted weird. Today the grand children of those who had pushed them aside hale these inventors as Hero's, but back then they were called mad. The most interesting person for me is Vincent Van Gogh, in his time he was seen as a madman. a Man who died in poverty. Today his type of work is world renowned, studied by professors. Men of high esteem will not speak lightly of him. But when he lived he was ridiculed by their fathers.

Yet here we are today still looking back talking the same talk, and still pushing people aside. I hate it when people do that, for me they are the next Einsteins, Van Gogh's, Darwin’s. People who will change the future and the way we think today. These people have had such an influence on the way we act today, the way we live. But still we don’t' want to learn from History. We will kill those who oppose us. Annihilate their beings, calling them all sorts of things destroying them. But we forget that our children will call these people Hero's.

I had the same experience this week, but the saddening effect of it all is that I lost nothing. You see some people tend to think when they push people away they have succeeded in their war and effort of destroying people who don't think like minded. But in the end they are just urging these individuals on to become more and more independent, forcing them to think and ponder. And INVENT.
Be careful today who you call an idiot or who you push away, if you disagree with somebody, listen and agree to disagree. Learn from these individuals for their way of thinking and acting will open doors for you, and bring light to your way of living. But our instinct is to shut them out. We are afraid of them. Maybe Darwin was right when he wrote his book. "The Origen of Species." Maybe if people took the time listened to what he had to say, and didn't oppose him he could have been a great mind for Jesus.

Get Busy Living!
Some of us are so caught up in the rat race for survival and economic freedom, that we don't realise we are being chained to a post and going nowhere fast.

The most interesting thing in our lives are that we get up go to work, work late to spend that two week holiday with the family, somewhere away from work and obligations just to fall back two weeks later. But what are these chains that are holding us back. I had the privilege of looking at life out of a couple of different perspectives. And it seems to me that we are bound to this post because we want to. Going nowhere fast. As i sit here writing this piece we are bounded by a drought, one that is starting to affect our production. But do I choose to lose hope, and let this drought put another chain around me, while the world is so pressing. No.

Jesus came to this world telling us and showing us the way of true freedom, freedom through his resurrection, freedom for living in his shadow. He broke these chains that are bounding us to the post. The world tells us that the more money we have the more freedom you have. But with that comes obligations, and another chain is put around your waist. God wants us to live in his shadow and learn from his wisdom, so that we can become free men and women. And not let the world tell us what freedom is.

"Lord Jesus, we thank you today for your freedom, for breaking the worldly chains and keeping us free from worldly desires through your Spirit. We thank you that even when things are not looking good, we know that you will never forsake us. Amen

Have Faith.

A Life
Job a man of God. I read a piece about a week ago on a online devotional page. I was down in the dumps, man the gutter was to good for me where i was. Pressure was mounting on bringing in the crop, our main pump was broken and the list just goes on and on. After more than a year of not following in the footsteps of our Saviour I decided I would do some bible study again, and here rite in front of me on the screen was a short summary of Jobs life. A man who lost everything, but still worshiped God.

If, If=(sum)Life....
As I sit here trying to write today's peace, I need to be honest I’m struggling to write something of value.
It's a new week and the past week has been one hectic week, things went wrong got fixed and then there are the issues people have with each other. The pain and discomfort it produces for each other.

It is so difficult to think that we have no respect for each other. And then I hear these great words in a song of Michael W Smith. That God has built his kingdom for us to share his glory with him and his Son Jesus. Not alone, no never, aikona, never. He the great almighty wants to share his wisdom, love and glory with us. What a uplifting thought. But then with these amazing words From Jesus himself, do we share our wisdom and love with others. No we are so bent on breaking others, stepping on them so that we might get to the top and reach our glory that we forget all of this was made possible by the crucifixion, there on Golgotha a Man had to die so that we can have this promise of God.

If he is the If= what are we testing by human standards, why not test things with His equations. My heart is bleeding this morning, to see how ignorant and stubborn we are. Money, fame glory and gold became our creators, we stooped so low yet we think we are gods, some of us have this air around us that if you don't do as I say then......

Thank you today Jesus for your Crucifixion on Golgotha, so that those who chooses you can see the light, and know that your wisdom, love and glory, your heaven is also our eternal dwelling. Thanks. To our Father in heaven we sing all our praises. Amen

Our Legacy
This morning I looked up at the skies, saw the beautiful clouds rolling in and realising that no matter what we are not alone. I had the privilege of speaking to one of my mentors this morning after nearly 7 years and what amazed me was that he still kept the letters I wrote when I was a student.

As I sit down before the computer my head is running contemplating all the things I have done good and bad, looking back at my legacy. But what is our legacy? What do we leave behind when we are gone for those around us? I love to look at people around me sometimes just taking the time to sit on the bench out of the game and see how people react towards each other, thinking that maybe the Theory that for every action there is an equal or opposite reaction wasn't derived from science but from looking at human beings. While sitting on the side line you tend to see things from a different angle, a way warped for our normal senses.

But what does this have to do with our legacy. This means people look at you and see the blue print you are leaving behind for future generations to come. Let me explain. In our comunity we have this person who only lives for himself, he will do anything for money and those that does not do his bidding is shunned and swaerd at. He lives on an island all by himself. The laughing stock of the community. What does his blue print say about him, will his grand children follow his advice or just feel ashamed of their grandfather when people mock about him.

The problem is that some of us, including me have started out wrong with our legacy's our blue prints. We grew up thinking that we don't need the advice of others; we will make our own ends meet. But then again when we read in the bible of how God took these people who had nothing, was a nobody, had the blueprint of nothing and made them kings, prophets and even one our Saviour. Take king David for example, a nobody who became king, if we follow what our Lord has to tell us then we realise that he erases these bad sectors on our blue prints, and draws in the most beautiful lines so that what we leave behind would be a legacy that echo’s into eternity. Jesus died for us so that we can live a legacy, and just build forth on his, we don't need to draw up our own foundations for life, it's already done, rite in front of us, He invites us to build our houses on him, to leave monuments for our grand children to follow.

Michael W. Smith sings in one song, our God is an awesome God. Do we live by his guidance and faith or by our own makings ending up with nothing? Amen

A Walk with Jesus
The past year or so have been the most unforgiving years i have had to contend with.
The reason is as easy as pie, I thought that i could use my own strength and just be
a island on my own creating a comfort zone, more an empire where I am the only king.

Or that was what my sinful nature allowed me to do. Today I started reflecting again over the thoughts I wrote down when I was still with Jesus, walking his path and following his wise teachings. But then as the tap of financial freedom was closed so I closed a chapter in my life, thinking that why this happening to me is, slowly being misled by the devil to think God is punishing me for all my sins.

So this morning I got on the web and read a short peace out of Job 23 v 3. This man was in greater peril than I am; he was searching for the face of God, for his dwelling. Man I don't even think if I were to be put into such a peril if I could last one day, but this man kept to seek God and found him. What a wonderful thought, God spoke to him.

It is dry on the farm, currently our crops are infested with a spider mite, that is destroying the leaves, this is due to the current drought that we have, and as I started to reflect over what I have done, I realised that only through faith can we really understand Gods plan. I have to bend myself again before the Holy Trinity, just to tell our Father in heaven that I’m sorry for not walking in faith and rather by sight.

This drought will be broken sooner or later, but we should see it as a learning curve to understand that our Father is an excellent father, and he just wants the best for us in everything, but if we lose track he will use everything to his disposal to bring us back, sometimes he uses droughts and diseases, to teach us the meaning of Faith, not just Faith But faith in His son Jesus Christ. Amen
